Dr. Lisa Latts is the Vice President, Programs in Clinical Excellence for WellPoint, Inc. headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.In her position with WellPoint, she is responsible for directing WellPoint’s Enterprise Health Care Quality Program, including Performance Measurement, Centers of Excellence, and programs to reduce health disparities.She directs initiatives to improve outcomes on WellPoint’s innovative Member and State Health Index programs, and serves as WellPoint’s representative to external initiatives to advance the nation’s quality agenda, such as the National Quality Forum, the AQA Alliance, and the Leapfrog Group. Her area works to increase engagement with physician and hospital organizations to improve the robustness of provider measurement, and improve the quality of healthcare delivered to WellPoint members.

Dr. Latts lives in Denver, Colorado, where she practices part-time as an internist in the University of Colorado Hospital, specializing in Medical Complications of Pregnancy. She received her MD from the University of Minnesota, and completed a General Internal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center including a Masters of Science in Public Health, where her research focused on smoking cessation in pregnant women. She received her MBA from the University of Colorado Executive Program.
